A scale of temperature on which zero degrees Kelvin (abbreviated 00 K) corresponds to "absolute zero." Temperature in degrees Kelvin equals temperature in degrees Celsius plus 273.16, thus ice melts at 273.160 K, and water boils at 373.160 K
