Combination 1

Combination 1 : (Math) A sample of k objects selected from a population of n objects, without regard to order. The number of ways the sample k can be selected is equal to n!/k!(n - k)!, where n! and k! are factorial. e. g. , if n = 5, n! = 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 120. See also: Distribution; Permutation. Note: As An Example, 3 Objects (K) Can Be Selected From A Population of 5 Objects (N) In (5 X 4 X 3 X 2 X 1)/((3 X 2 X 1) (2 X 1)) = 120/12 = 10 Ways
