Young's Modulus of Elasticity
Young's Modulus of Elasticity : Applicable to the stretching of a wire (or thin rod), or to the bending of a beam. It is defined as the ratio tensile (or compressive) stress / tensile (or compressive) strain Symbol E. Known also as stretch or elongation modulus. Since strain is a numeric, its units are those of stress, namely, MN/m2, kN/m2 or bar
