RPIN/ PIN : Regional Public Information Network/ Public Information Network. A RPIN builds inter-jurisdictional cooperation during emergencies and opens strategies for coordinated public information when major disruptions occur. RPIN membership involves multiple governmental jurisdictions, agencies and organizations as partners to serve the public over a broad area. A RPIN may sponsor a web site that is a single point of contact for public agencies to post information and news releases.
