Pharmacokinetics 2 :
Process of the uptake of drugs by the body, the biotransformation they undergo, the distribution of the drugs and their metabolites in the tissues, and the elimination of the drugs and their metabolites from the body. Both the amounts and the concentrations of the drugs and their metabolites are studied. The term has essentially the same meaning as toxicokinetics, but the latter term should be restricted to the study of substances other than drugs. Broader Term: chemobiokinetics.
